First hand, how do you not shove the turn when you have top pair and flush draw? Having called the turn bet, how can you fold the river? In other words, what are you putting the villain on when he donk bets the flop? What hands did he do that with before? Does he limp call with hands like AJ, AQ? Could he be donk betting with like 99 or 66 or something? Would he play his sets like that? Without knowing these things, I personally would shove the turn but playing as how you did, there's no way you are folding to the river bet.

Hand #2, a bit more tricky. Personally, he 3 bets so much I would have just 4 bet and take it down there (also willing to play for stacks pre). If they are all low cards, what would you do with AK? He's gonna bet out a good portion of the time and considering his extremely high 3 bet %, I think you save yourself some tough decisions later by 4 betting pre. Being that you just called the flop bet, how do you fold the turn? I think I call here because he can easily have like AQ here, I think, even though I'm not sure he would barrell the turn with AQ.Alan aka RecessRampagehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00544791207717813141noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13519202.post-84103440968142000902009-04-15T15:52:00.000-07:002009-04-15T15:52:00.000-07:00These hands suck. You can't fold on the turn in Hand #1, and yet when you get a blank, I really think you're beat, but you're getting odds to call with a lot of hands. You called and he showed a shitty two pair after calling your raise, right? I can't put him on a higher kicker because he didn't raise.
I love poker.

#2 - I fold. A-K is probably not good there and it's not worth it to me to get all that money in with just a pair. Plus I hate AK.

Omaha can be rough at times. You really have to make great laydowns. Keep in mind other players won't lay that stuff down, so when you do hit your hands, you'll get paid.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08837529956827141862noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13519202.post-25869682343906953432009-04-15T13:33:00.000-07:002009-04-15T13:33:00.000-07:00Oh, I missed the turned FD in Hand 1. In that case, I definitely call turn and probably river too.noldmaxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06632933577001519894noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13519202.post-63802413502649470562009-04-15T13:31:00.000-07:002009-04-15T13:31:00.000-07:00Both hands are tough. Here are my thoughts:
1) Yo...Both hands are tough. Here are my thoughts:
1) Your opponent does have some pretty donkish stats, but I still kind of doubt that he takes a 3-barrel line from OOP with anything worse than AT. Could easily be AK-AJ/A8/A2/88/22. The only holdings you are somewhat happy about are AT for split, and A9, but that's a longshot. The key decision is the turn. If you called the turn, were you not you planning to call a blank river (which you received)? I say either fold the turn or call down. I probably lean towards folding the turn.

2) Hitting TPTK is never bad, but that's a pretty bad board to do it on against his 3-betting range. QQ/KK/AA have you crushed, AK splits. I would favor AK or AA due to the full PSBs on both streets...looks like he's trying to protect rather than squeeze value. I probably fold here. You could be folding a split, but you are crushed often enough that I would bail out.noldmaxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06632933577001519894noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13519202.post-57738154431979722912009-04-15T13:00:00.000-07:002009-04-15T13:00:00.000-07:00Hand 1: Whatever you do, don't fold! If he has AJ or 87, whatever. Fuck him.

Hand 2: I'm less excited about this one. over 65 hands, the 8% pfr probably means a lot more than the AF. There is also no really reasonable hand that you are pwning. I guess he could be double-potting with AQ, JJ or TT, but there are also a lot of hands that he would be betting strong for value, like KK, QQ, KQs, JTs, AK, AA...that's a bunch of hands already. If you shove, he's obviously calling, and you're really just hoping for a split.

-bruechipsspritpothttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07840930703139677178noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13519202.post-27497704787406794982009-04-15T06:03:00.000-07:002009-04-15T06:03:00.000-07:00Hand #1 feels like a fold on the turn. There aren't many hands that you beat, and it feels an awful lot like A5 got there.

Hand #2 is tougher...What is villians 3 bet range? Your hand is pretty transparent at this point. I'm not sure what you can be ahead of that he continues like this. AA, KK, QQ and KQ are all ahead of you, and AK is chopping. So I probably fold this turn, as he isn't slowing down.steeserhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09703447613552799266noreply@blogger.com
