Check call is terrible because if another spade falls, you lose action from anyone but a bluff (or a donkey with a Ks or Qs)

Hand 2 - I think you can bet a little more on the turn to build the pot a bit more. The pot already has close to $20. You should prob be betting closer to pot, maybe at least like $16-17 range (accting for smaller pot due to rake) but $14 is way small. Only reason I say that is because then on the river, that's few more dollars that you can get in there. This is an instance of a missed value, IMO.

Hand 3 - :(

Hand 4 - what brack said. I thought about overbetting turn before I read brack's comment.Alan aka RecessRampagehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00544791207717813141noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13519202.post-47144161236080494892009-03-10T23:07:00.000-07:002009-03-10T23:07:00.000-07:00Wonka - regarding that JJ hand - cooler to get suc...Wonka - regarding that JJ hand - cooler to get sucked out on by a ghey frush but look on the bright side - you gave yourself the chance to fold by checking the river instead of jamming it in. On this board, I doubt you get called by worse. At the same time, i would NEVER ever fold.

On the other hand - i think you could have bet a bit more on the turn. In fact, given the stax - i would prolly just go ahead and overbet ship the turn. vs the guy who frushed you, you only have 1.3x the pot size on the turn. you can be pretty certain you have the nuts...and by doing so, you eliminate a ghey river decision. also, given that you have 1.3x the size of the pot on the turn, its hard to make 2 properly sized bets on the turn and river.

-brackchipsspritpothttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07840930703139677178noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13519202.post-87025151522114851742009-03-10T17:46:00.000-07:002009-03-10T17:46:00.000-07:00Wow thats pretty sick.Maybe take a little breake, ...Wow thats pretty sick.

Maybe take a little breake, and check for leaks like BoooomBaby says.

You have a great blog ;)

I see that you link to many pokerblogs, would you mind linking to The Pokerstar Blog ?
http://pokerstarblog.blogspot.comRakeback Safehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01561533485132711361noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13519202.post-35655325608303238382009-03-10T08:20:00.000-07:002009-03-10T08:20:00.000-07:00That's pretty gross stuff. I would suggest checking for some leaks, because a 40 buyin downswing is kind of outrageous.BoooomBabyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04836651031524403492noreply@blogger.com
