Hit and Run and Finding More Folds

Thanks for the comments yesterday. While I called down on all of those, it wasn't necessarily easy or without thought.

AK hand, the decision was on the turn. If I call there, I have to call on river getting over 3 to 1. The turn is where the real question was. If he has a flush or straight, I still have outs. Again, on the river, there really is no decision.

AQ hand was maybe the toughest. Probably should have let that go; but the min raise and min bet turned out to be good bet sizing as he suckered me in.

KK hand. Oh well, what can you do.

I did a hit and run yesterday which I normally do NOT do. After losing what was actually 6 buyins the previous day, I was content to take 2 1/2 buyins in 10 minutes and call it a night. I had already made my Iron Man points from the previous night.

Here is a couple more hands to see if you can find a fold

Hand #1: I would make up my mind on the flop what my plan is for future streets. I'd likely bet/3bet that flop and be happy getting it in, even against a TAG.

Hand #2: It looks as if villain open-limped with KQ, and turned the nut straight, or is running a huge bluff. I don't see how he can have any medium strength hands in his range; it's really polarized: it's the only thing that justifies the postflop action. I certainly don't see how villain could be holding an 8, so the river doesn't change anything. If you're going to call on the turn after the villain takes such a strong line of call/re-raise, you probably have to call the river too, but I wouldn't be happy about it.

H1 - I fold. Would have been a great spot to ship the turn if it had been a blank, but it's basically an anti-blank. The only thing you beat now is QQ/KK, and those hands probably slow down here anyway. So check/fold is a good line on the turn.

H2 - Turn is a good spot for raise/fold. Do you really think he decided to pull an overcall/re-raise on turn as a bluff? Seems really unlikely to me, so I'm folding at that point.

Wow, I actually popped on the internet today looking for info on leadership styles but wound up here instead, and I'm glad I did!
