Sorry for the lack of posts lately... I should have a month end posting tomorrow. Definitely not a good month.

Since I get up early on Wednesday's night to make a 5:45 weekly Mens meeting, I haven't been playing all the Mookies lately. I played last week and finished 13th out of 94 so a whole lot of playing for a whole lot of nothing and boy was I tired as I was pushing 20 hours of being awake.

At the last moment tonight, I decided to play as well. I'm glad I did as I took down my 1st Mookie of the year. Gotta love it.

There is really much to add. I got AA vs KK and AA vs QQ (and they held up) early to help get me some chips.

I had a pretty big hand with the eventual 2nd place finisher Recess Rampage. This hand put me up with the leaders.

This kind of made up for a hand early where I flopped a set on an all diamond board. I played in slow/cautious and a 4th diamond came on river and I folded. I asked RR if he rivered me and he said no. Hmmm, I wonder if I should believe him. It was a multi way limped pot and he was in BB so it is possible that he flopped a flush. Water under the bridge now.

I made some tough calls later on and built a big stack to go heads up against Alan. I had an almost 5-1 chip lead and pretty much made him choose the hand. After carefully considering Alan's 50-50 chop offer, we finally made it this final hand after 6 hands of heads up.

As you can see, RR had the best of it which was definitely the theme of the table. The best hands were not holding up for the most part.
