Another 5

Broken record..crack...Broken Record.. Crack... Broken Record...

Yep, another 5 1/2 buyins last night

Same thing, different night. Started off with AK losing to AT. Luckily after my cbet, villain checked it down.

Then this hand came up.. Definitely a marginal call; but trying to make something happen.

I actually got lucky when my flopped set filled up on river after the villain had hit his gutter ball straight on the turn. I was hoping that my luck was turning. I was wrong. This hand pretty much sent me to the loony bin. I am sitting in a room with rubber walls as my losing streak has exceeded 40 buyins.

Do I have to make this crying call? I pretty much knew he had the flush; but come on.. 64s.

I played a little longer; but it was pretty much break even.

I'll be actually dropping down to 50NL which I obviously should have done sooner.

I hope things change.

Have a nice day!

That's pretty gross stuff. Very wise of you to move down, I sure hope things turn around. I would suggest checking for some leaks, because a 40 buyin downswing is kind of outrageous.

Wow thats pretty sick.

Maybe take a little breake, and check for leaks like BoooomBaby says.

Wonka - regarding that JJ hand - cooler to get sucked out on by a ghey frush but look on the bright side - you gave yourself the chance to fold by checking the river instead of jamming it in. On this board, I doubt you get called by worse. At the same time, i would NEVER ever fold.

On the other hand - i think you could have bet a bit more on the turn. In fact, given the stax - i would prolly just go ahead and overbet ship the turn. vs the guy who frushed you, you only have 1.3x the pot size on the turn. you can be pretty certain you have the nuts...and by doing so, you eliminate a ghey river decision. also, given that you have 1.3x the size of the pot on the turn, its hard to make 2 properly sized bets on the turn and river.

Hand 1 is pretty bad IMO. No cbet but just check call? No checkraise? If you are willing to call his all in on the turn, why not just checkraise shove the flop? Check call is terrible because if another spade falls, you lose action from anyone but a bluff (or a donkey with a Ks or Qs)

Hand 2 - I think you can bet a little more on the turn to build the pot a bit more. The pot already has close to $20. You should prob be betting closer to pot, maybe at least like $16-17 range (accting for smaller pot due to rake) but $14 is way small. Only reason I say that is because then on the river, that's few more dollars that you can get in there. This is an instance of a missed value, IMO.

Hand 3 - :(

Hand 4 - what brack said. I thought about overbetting turn before I read brack's comment.
