Friday TidBits

OK, I did get just a little bit of poker in on the Crytp-Mania site and as usual it was a roller coaster. The first hand that I was dealt was QQ... Lots of raising... flop of 755 and again lost of raising... the short of it is that he flopped the boat with 77 and I continued to donate to his cause. One of the problems that I am having with Caribbean is when to ratchet down or up the aggressiveness. As I have said, them Crytpo players are crrrazzzyy. So what do I do, I ignore all the classic signs that my Queens are no good; but you get a little calloused after a while when you see them capping the bet with nothing better than a gut shot or Ace high.. This was also at the 6Max table. I guess my take away is that I'm going to continue to ramp up the aggressiveness when I think that I am ahead. I did end up 6BB (as some people like to put it) in about 30 minutes.... I was playing 2 tables and lost the complete buy-in one one table and doubled up on another... I then closed down the double up and rebought on the down table and made the profit.

I only have about 350 CPC points to go to qualify so I will probably try to knock that out this weekend. It was a lot tougher that I thought it would be to get to the 2000 CPC points. Hopefully, it will all be worth it come Nov 6th.

HUC2

We have filled up the 16 places for the Heads Up Challenge 2. Looking at my first round match up, I was relieved to see that I got paired up with SirWALGMan because that guy can't beat anybody heads up. It seems that everybody and their mother is beating this guy Heads Up. I my only fear is that I hope that I won't be looking ahead to my Round 2 challenger and forget to take care of business against SirWALGMan. All kidding aside, I am looking foward to Round 1. First off, I have never played with SirW and for what I can tell, it should be a nice match... probably not for the faint of heart though. I don't predict any marathon matches. So SirW...if you are reading... Good luck to you... even though I don't mean it... lol

I am glad to see that we did get a host of new players. Again, that is what is so great about online poker.... the online community...

As for predictions... the only one that I will make is that GCox will back into something.. I just don't know what yet.

I want to thank Virginia Tech for taking care of business last night and covering the spread... I didn't really watch the game; but for what I could tell.. they did everything they could to blow it. It's always nice to be ahead going into the weekend games.

And finally... We are having a home game tournament on Saturday... I haven't fared to well in these (except for last month)... We'll see how it goes... Plus a reader to this blog has shown interest and it will be nice to meet somebody who actually wastes a few minutes a day reading this thing.

Have a great weekend... and SirWALGMan, I will be looking for you...
