Tonight, however, only 342 hands at a 20.18/14.62/2.12 pace. I was way more passive preflop. Basically it was on one table where there was a super maniacal ATMish time bomb. Which caused me to be a little more passive preflop. I ended up the night at 49.17 bb/100 playing 50NL still.
Full Tilt now has 200BB buyins now. I'm not sure that I am ready for that just yet. I played 2 of each tonight. I happen to get good hands on the deep stack tables so I guess it was all good.
Speaking of the super maniac, I am dedicating this next hand to my St Louis buddy Jamyhawk.
Here's the setup.
I am in the BB with KK.
Super Maniac (72.15/45.57/2.90) is on my left and UTG.
Super Tight (11.63/4.65/4.00) is on my right and in the SB although during this hand he had a VPIP of 7.7.

Hero (BB): $132.45
UTG: $168.85 <---- Maniac
MP: $26.95
CO: $145.75
BTN: $100.00
SB: $91.90 <----Tightie
Pre Flop: Hero is BB with K K
Got to love that hand...
UTG raises to $4, 3 folds, SB calls $3.75, Hero calls $3.50
SuperManiac is raising every hand and over raising most hands. Super Tightie is only playing a few hands. 90% of the time I am raising this hand; but against Super LAG, I will see a flop and make him pay for any mistakes.
Flop: ($12.00) 2 T J (3 players)
Not a terrible flop; but not a real good one either.
SB checks, Hero checks, UTG bets $10, SB raises to $27.50, Hero folds, UTG raises to $164.85 all in, SB calls $60.40 all in
Due to the nature of the board and knowing 100% that super LAG is going to c-bet I also check and he didn't let me down. Uh oh... Super Tightie is popping it with a check raise. Yep, he stole my thunder. Part of me wants to ship it right now. Part of me wants to call and see what Mr Maniac does; but the nitty part of me prevailed and yes JamyHawk, that is How you fold KK. Was I right? Does it even matter? Let's watch.
Turn: ($187.80) Q
River: ($187.80) T
Final Pot: $187.80
UTG shows Ah 8h (a pair of Tens)
SB shows 2s 2d (a full house, Twos full of Tens)
SB wins $184.80
(Rake: $3.00)
Turns out I was only 7% to win after the flop. So yes, I can dodge bullets baby!!!! Most likely if I had repopped preflop Mr 22 would have folded; but it is what it is. I still don't mind calling in this situation from time to time.
Dodging Bullets #2.
This hand I just played bad; but maybe could have lost a lot more. The winner here was a little irate here saying that I should have gone broke on this hand. Little did he know that Phil Helmuth is not the only one that can dodge bullets. Thoughts?
The villain here is a 30/28 guy so really aggressive. I will sometimes slow down with these guys.

I ended up convincing myself that the only thing that would call me would beat me. Ax just didn't make sense to me here although AK was certainly what I thought he had.
There are lots of good posts out there regarding the WSOP. We may have a general consensus that this is ridiculous; but probably profitable for the TV and casino folks. It's sort of like the skyrocketing gas prices are bad for us; but companies like Exxon and Chevron are making out like bandits. What are you going to do?
Have a nice day!!!!

WillWonka - first, thanks for stopping by my blog and providing feedback and support. I definitely appreciate it!
As for the hands:
Dodging bullets: you've got to repop with KK to isolate the maniac. You could have had all that $$ instead of super shorty. Those type of misses add up in the long run.
But MAJOR PROPS for getting away from the hand when you saw SuperTightie repop. Very smart move. Those type of moves add up as well.
2nd hand - nice work. I especially like your thinking for not repopping that river. "Only hands that call are the ones that beat you" Very good thinking. Nice work and keep it up!
Dubs... not doubt I should have and like I said, I normally do 90% of the time.
Some reasons why I didn't.
Fairly early in session (1st 30 minutes).
Over the past 2 days, 4 or 5 of the last times I have had KK, an Ace came on flop. I still won most of them on my c-bet; but it certainly cut down on my action.
Super Tight guy calls reinfocing my thoughts that somebody may have an ace.
Stack Sizes. I didn't want to start of yet another session in catch up mode if I lost a big pot early.... especially now with the deep stacks that Full Tilt lets you buy in with (200BB).
All of these are on the lame to super lame side; but again, I am comfortable with the way that I played it... this time.
Very impressive on both hands. First hand, I can see the fold. 2nd hand, I don't know if I'll go broke here but I'll certainly lose a lot more. I would think a lower flush is possible, Ax is possible, a Kx is possible... so I would clearly raise... and then be in trouble...
Holy cow! I don't know how I missed this post. Work-tilt... Jeeeez.
Anyway, Great read on the check raise. I think you fold that 90% of the time. Sets and draws and you with no hearts. I don't like that at all. Especially based on your reads. Reverse the players and you can justify a shove. That's my opinion.
2nd hand, it makes a lot of sense to only call there. AK made a lot of sense to me also.
Thanks for the pimpage!
