I was able to make up most of what I lost yesterday as I was up a little over one buyin which is fine be me. If I can make a buyin in my hour of play a day, I would obviously be happy.
Does anybody really like pocket Jacks? I had them twice last night with weird situations. What are you actions on these hands?
Villain is 36/13/2.2 over 713 hands.

American Idol. Does anybody really believe that Adam Lambert was in the bottom two? I don't. That's all I have to say about that.

My feelings can be summed up as follows: There are three ways to play pocket Jacks - all of them wrong.
H1) The check-raise is scary, but the overbet on the turn makes it highly unlikely he has a set-turned-boat. I'd be more scared of a slow-played overpair, like QQ/KK/AA. You beat air, TT, and a some badly played 9s. Tough spot. Very opponent dependent. Without a good read, I probably fold and look for better spots.
H2) PF raise is definitely right. In position, almost surely with the best hand. If you don't raise, you're basically set-mining. Fold to flop action. Shove turns hands into a bluff.
H1 - Weird hand. I can't really think you're ahead here. He must think you have something and for him to push tells me he's got something. I don't know why he's pushing except you called a check-raise, raised preflop and bet the flop. Maybe he has 10s, but I'm guessing he would have raised with them. I think he's putting you on KK or QQ and hoping you'll call a suspicious bet.
Guess I'm not good enough to call here.
Hand #1, I couldn't make the call. He said he had 99. Not sure if I believe or not; but it is what it is.
Hand #2, No way I can continue. It just stinks (obviously) that I would have won the hand.
I never can remember. Is it decisions I should be focusing on or is it results? ;-)
First hand - villain's flop raise seems a bit big to actually have a set here. I could easily see a 55-88 type of hand as well as a hand like 56 for the SD and maybe even A9. How solid is this villain? Stats seem loosey so I really wouldn't give him too much credit. I would call.
Second hand, I would call if that other guy didn't call but with two players interested in the hand, I would fold the flop as well. The donk bet smells like a club draw but again, with another player in the hand, you just don't know so the fold there is fine I think.
And remember, since on FT, the RNG keeps running so if you had called, it probably would not have been a J anyways. :)
