Why not bet the flop?
I hate seeing the club there. I think it's 50/50 between bet/fold and check/call. Villain could be hoping for a cheap showdown with something like TT/JJ/AQ/KJ. Given that I'm probably not going to fold to a bet, I prefer to make a bet and get value from those hands. I probably bet about $30-$35, and fold to any raise.
What kind of hand is a winning regular although not super tight player going to call sqeeze with? For some reason, I felt the need to go into pot control mode. He checks behind on flop so I make a smallish bet on turn on which he just turns. I really don't know where I am.
So what did I do, I checked behind and he had AQ. Lost value again.
