That's it!!! I'm putting on the tin foil hat tonight. This is really, really ridiculous. To begin the session within just the first 15 minutes, I lost 4 pots to runner, runner flushes which definitely put me on tilt which led me to one of my biggest tilt calls ever.
This was your typical Maniac and was hitting... First let me give you of the kind of things that was happening to him..

Some of those hands, you're acting like a calling station. I understand you're trying to set up a big hand, but you need to raise that up. Not saying that the outcome would have changed, but you certainly would have gotten your money in good at least.
Hand in question:
I think you're missing a key piece of data in here: Attempt to steal %. In light of that, I'm going to assume he was not stealing & give him a "normal" 13/11 range. Is a 13/11 villain raising J8? Probably not. Is a 13/11 raising QQ? Yes. KJ? Maybe (depends on steal %). Is a 13/11 raising AA, KK, AK, JJ, 99-55? Yes. You can also add in QT for the raising range if he's stealing.
Moreover, you have severely underrepresented the strength of your hand. I don't think he's pushing on the river unless he puts you on a hand that is marginally calling down (KQ, QJ) which he thinks he beats and will get you to call.
It seems there are FAR more hands that he PF raises with which you beat, than are beaten by. If he has a set of Queens or KJ, then gg - you got coolered. However, I think I call here.
I don't see how you can possibly fold in your hand question. You've got the huge set and only a very unlikely inside straight beats you. Have to call, it's not like we're talking about 5000 big blinds here.
I folded. It's funny how everything is going bad, you can't always make the right decisions in fear of losing even more.

---Right here, why just flat call? Any 2 cards that are suited or close enough to form a straight, a pair, or suited, present future problem. You are ahead here and should BET. Imo.
Turn: ($35.00) 9h (2 players)
CO checks, Hero bets $20, CO requests TIME, CO raises to $58, Hero calls $38"
Here is that danger card, 9h. Now 2 hearts on board, and 7 x 9 10 x Q making 6 8, J 8, or J K already a straight.
You bet 20, and he thinks and reraises you. You're beat. Maybe closer to pot size bet?
I learned this the hard way, from people chasing flushes and straights, etc and losing. Sticks in your memory.
Now that I am charting, I'll compare what I *do* win from what I "could" have won but lost trying to build a pot. ;)
