I only played one set. It only took one set to find out that my luck wasn't changing. In one of my games, I get AQ on the first hand and called a minimum raise from the BB. Nothing on the flop and someone bets out big. I fold, of course, and wait to fight another battle. AQ hasn't been good to me anyway. It was an easy fold. Well, the battle came sooner than I thought. Hand #5 is below:

Why did I push on the flop? It doesn't really matter, I would have gotten my chips in on the turn when I hit the flush. The question is.... would he have called with the flopped straight. Since he would have also hit a flush, the answer is probably yes. Now, had I known he had the straight, that would have been a different story.. ha.
I then proceeded to tilt away another game when my AT (with an Ace on the flop) got beat by AK. Normally, I would never have called a huge flop bet with AT; but I wasn't in the best of moods. When the ace came on the flop and he went all in; that sometimes means that someone has a high pair (not an ace) and is trying to take the pot right there. Bad read, huh? Yes, I still need to work on this. Anyway, below is the summary:

In other news.. I just finished Matt Matros's book. It was a very good read. It is not going to make me a better poker player; but that is not the intention of the book. It is basically his story from the kitchen table to the final table at the WPT championship. I definitely recommend it
