Two days ago over just 516 hands in just a little under an hour, I had 9 all in hands. This is actually pretty many over such a short time.
I got my chips in at the following clip:
91% (won), 84% (lost), 73% (lost), 87% (lost), 18% (lost), 87% (won), 82% (won), 100% (won) and 75% (lost).
The good news is that 8 out of 9 hands, I got my money in real good (at least 73%). The bad news is that I lost 5 of the 9. That kind of hurts.
If that wasn't bad enough, tonight I ran into 5 losses where I was ahead a lost to runner, runner plus a couple of losses on the river. Luckily, I was able to get back to break even before I called it a night. Cmitch was at my table tonight. It's always nice playing with people that you know. You can also catch Bruechips on the PL50 tables every once in a while when he feels like slummin'.
As of this writing, I was able to sneak into the top 13 PL50 players at FTP this month. This is kind of surprising giving the way I started out the month as I was mostly break even through the first half of the month. Things got better towards the end.
I continue to do well in Pot Limit. I just don't get as I actually lost money playing No Limit. It seems like there just shouldn't be that much difference in win rates. For me, there is and because of that, I will be sticking with Pot Limit.
Flopped Straights, do they ever win?
Villain is a fishy 42/1/2.2 over 119 hands.

So... He likes to limp but he doesn't like to rise. And he's probably limping even in bad positions with hands he shouldn't limp with.
We're not going to fold here just because of the third spade or the (slight) risk of villain holding QJ for a higher straight. With such a fishy player the range is quite wide. Some suggestions:
AJ-A8
JJ-66
T9, T8, 98
... and perhaps even some worse hands.
I would expect this line with everyone of this hand, either as the usual slowplay of a set or the usual passive, fishy calling. But it's true that because of his way of playing there's also a number of hands that have you beaten right now. Fish often loooooves suuuuuuuitedness (I've seen them playing completely ridiculous hands like J6s from UTG). So with the risk of being accused for passive play I probably just call here. On such a tricky board even this amount of $ is a good profit and I cut my losses if he's in fact holding a flush or JQ
cmitch is my blogging hero!
I think that you know the answer to your question, "Flopped Straights, do they ever win?"
LOL at poker meister :)
Man that last Ace was an absolute bitch.
Rivers like that make me feel so hard done by!
For whatever reason, I just felt I was beat and folded.
I hear you... I think you're probably right. Well at least you were strong enough not to make the call
Bet/fold on hand 1? Your hand is really strong and having it get checked through and seeing something like 2 pair, a set, or something like J10 would be ugly.
